SECTION 1101B - SCOPE

1101B.1 General. Buildings or portions of
buildings shall be accessible to persons with disabilities as required by this
chapter.
1101B.2 Design. The design and
construction of accessible building elements shall be in accordance with this
chapter and sections that are listed in Section 1114B.I.I.
1101B.3 Maintenance of Accessible Features.
1. A public accommodation shall maintain
in operable working condition those features of facilities and equipment that
are required to be accessible to and usable by persons with disabilities.
2. This section does not prohibit
isolated or temporary interruptions in service or access due to maintenance or
repairs.
1101B.4 Dimensional Tolerances. All
dimensions are subject to conventional building industry tolerances for field
conditions.
SECTION 1114B - FACILITY ACCESSIBILITY
1114B.1 Design and Construction.
1114B.1.1 General. When accessibility is
required by this chapter, it shall be designed and constructed to meet the
minimum requirements of the following sections:

1133B.I.I.I.2 Temporary restrictions.
During periods of partial or restricted use of a building or facility, the
entrances used for primary access shall be accessible to and usable by per- sons
with disabilities.

4.1 Minimum Requirements
4.1.1* Application.
(4) Temporary Structures. These guidelines
cover temporary buildings or facilities as well as permanent facilities.
Temporary buildings and facilities are not of permanent construction but are
extensively used or are essential for public use for a period of time. Examples
of temporary buildings or facilities covered by these guidelines include, but
are not limited to: reviewing stands, temporary classrooms, bleacher areas,
exhibit areas, temporary banking facilities, temporary health screening
services, or temporary safe pedestrian passageways around a construction site.
Structures, sites and equipment directly associated with the actual processes of
construction, such as scaffolding, bridging, materials hoists, or construction
trailers are not included.
