American Solar Energy Society The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is a national organization committed to advancing the use of solar energy for the benefit of U.S. citizens and the global environment. ASES provides services such as education, media information, roundtable discussions and advice to legislators. It publishes Solar Today, a monthly magazine covering the technological, regulatory and community-related aspects of the industry. The site provides a Solar Guide Factbook, serving as an introduction to the industry. Also highlighted at the ASES site is the upcoming Solar Homes Tour on October 14, 2000, where any member of the public can join in a tour of solar-powered homes in areas all over the country.

The new Reusable Building Materials Exchange is a free-to-use web page developed and coordinated by the Energy Outreach Center, located in Olympia, Washington. The Exchange is part of a pilot program covering the Washington counties of Thurston, Mason, and Pierce in an effort to create a convenient way for contractors, home remodelers, reuse businesses, and other interested persons to easily exchange small or large quantities of used or surplus building materials.

The Western Regional Biomass Energy Program is one of five Regional Biomass Energy Programs established and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
